MS Volleyball Camp | High School Coach Training 💪
This weekend, we launched training for our new high school coaches in preparation for Middle School Volleyball Camp!
We kicked things off on Friday night with dinner and team-building activities. Since these high school students will be co-coaching middle schoolers next week, it’s essential they learn how to encourage one another and work as a unified team. Together, we practiced remembering each other’s names, honed our (backwards!) setting skills, and strengthened communication with a few fun rounds of Blind Swordsman. 🤺
Michelle led us through a safety and code of conduct talk, as our top priority is keeping both middle and high school students safe. We also got to meet Josh and learn more about how he and his wife Jacqui moved to Irvine to help lead AYM Orange County 🍊
Josh gave a short message on his own life story and that of Naaman and Elisha in the Bible. He challenged us to reflect on what we’re striving for and whether it truly satisfies, inviting us to consider the fullness of life that Jesus offers through a relationship with Him.
We closed the night with a team challenge: pulling the Sprinter van together. What seemed impossible alone became achievable with teamwork—a reminder of what’s possible when we support one another. 🚐
Stay tuned for more updates on Middle School Volleyball Camp! 🏐
