Cityteam SF

On January 26th, we had a regional service event with representation from 6 schools throughout the Bay Area. We gathered together to to serve bagged lunches to low-income residents of SOMA through CityTeam San Francisco.

We started off the morning going through orientation and preparing the lunches.  Then, we headed out to distribute the food and connect with SOMA residents. Afterwards, we debriefed and heard some powerful personal stories from some of the CityTeam leaders. Their heart for others and this experience of serving others gave us a glimpse of what it looks like to live out Mark 12:29-31..

Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

After a morning of service, we headed to Balboa Park for some tacos and fellowship!
