AYM Middle School Sports Camp is running from July 26th - July 28th and open to all rising 6th-8th grade students. The camp is run by high school student volunteers as well as our AYM mentors—college students and working professionals from OC who love to serve the youth!

WHO: Rising 6th - 8th graders (Fall 2023) in Irvine and nearby

WHEN: Wednesday, July 26 thru Friday, July 28 from 9am - 1pm*

WHERE: South Lake Middle School Basketball Courts and Field
(655 W Yale Loop, Irvine, CA 92614)

COST: $75 registration, with snacks and lunch included!

*Optional supervised scrimmage/free play time from 1-3p

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The camp runs from July 26-28th, Wednesday to Friday 9a -1p with optional supervised scrimmage/free play 1-3p. Precise schedule will be announced at a later date.

  • Middle school boys and girls can expect to participate in drills, group coaching, and casually playing matches. Each day, we will play basketball, volleyball, and flag football! We will also run icebreaker activities for students to get to know each other. The camp will end with a tournament to end all tournaments!

    Our mentors will also be giving talks about character and leadership.

  • AYM mentors are using this summer to serve the youth and our community. We hope to get students enjoying the outdoors, learning new skills, and growing in confidence!

  • Students need to come dressed appropriately for outdoor play. Please closed-toed shoes and no loose jewelry. Reusable water bottles are recommended for camp each day.

    Parent/Guardian waivers need to be submitted before students can participate.

  • Please drop off students at South Lake Middle School basketball courts. We will have signs near the parking lot directing the way.

  • We are not offering transportation. Please drop off and pick up students during program hours.

About Us

Area Youth Ministry (AYM) is a non-profit Christian youth mentorship organization passionate to see youth grow in all areas of their lives: leadership, character, skills, relationships, faith.

The clinic is run by volunteers! We are college students and alumni from schools such as UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside.

Our goal is to inspire and motivate students to learn and grow in character, get out and make a difference. And we know that sports is one big way that this happens.
